Faith-Integrated Therapy

Your Faith Is Part of Who You Are

For many people, faith is the lens through which everything else gets understood. You shouldn’t have to leave it at the door when you walk into therapy.

Maybe you’ve hesitated to pursue therapy because you weren’t sure a therapist would respect your beliefs. Or, worse, that they’d subtly push you toward a worldview that conflicts with your faith.

Or there’s been real tension between things you’ve been taught spiritually and the pain or confusion you’re actually living with.

Or you’re navigating doubt, grief over a spiritual community that hurt you, or the weight of trying to live up to standards that feel impossible to meet.

Your faith deserves to be a resource in your healing. You deserve a therapist who treats it that way.

What Faith-Integrated Therapy Looks Like at Live Up

Faith-integrated therapy means your beliefs, your values, and your spiritual life are genuinely welcome in the room. We approach this work with warmth, genuine respect, and an understanding that spirituality can be one of therapy’s most powerful resources.

Live Up Therapy is a practice that warmly welcomes everyone. Faith-integrated therapy here is about honoring the role that faith, spirituality, and meaning-making play in your life, whatever form that takes.

If you come from a Christian background, you’ll find someone who understands that world from the inside. If your faith tradition is different, or your spirituality is more personal and hard to name, that is equally welcome and equally respected.

We’re unspookable, and nothing is off limits.

Do We Always Have to Talk About Faith?

Sometimes, faith is the direct focus of the work: processing religious shame or guilt that has become a source of pain, navigating doubts, healing from harm caused by a religious community or leader, or untangling complicated feelings.

Other times, faith simply lives in the background of the work. Informing your values. Shaping how you understand forgiveness or worth. Grounding the way you approach hard decisions.

Your spiritual life doesn’t need to be the topic of every conversation to still be honored as part of who you are.

This Is Not Pastoral Counseling

Faith-integrated therapy is clinical mental health treatment grounded in evidence-based approaches.Your therapist is not a pastor or spiritual director, and sessions aren’t a substitute for those relationships.

What we offer is something different and complementary: a therapeutic space where your whole self is brought into the healing process.

What Wholeness Looks Like

Clients who do this work often describe feeling more integrated. More at peace with themselves. More able to draw on their faith as genuine comfort and strength.

The beliefs that once felt tangled up in shame or confusion start to feel more like solid ground. The life they’re building starts to feel more aligned with what matters most to them.

You were made for wholeness, in every sense of the word.
